The physicists and astronomers at Radboud University Nijmegen are internationally renowned for their excellent research.

They attract attention worldwide with spectacular discoveries - from the origin of cosmic particles, to magnetism with light. As a Master's student you will work in a dynamic environment. All lectures are taught by staff from one of the following multidisciplinary research institutes: IMM (Institute of Molecules and Materials), IMAPP (Institute of Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics) or DCN (Donders Center for Neuroscience). According to a recent evaluation by a commission of peer experts, our leading position in research provides an excellent basis for high-quality education. This programme provides an excellent preparation for enrolment into a PhD programme. Around 70% of our graduates continue their research within a PhD project in Nijmegen or elsewhere in the world. Our research departments regularly recruit new PhD candidates. Graduates also fi nd work as researchers and managers within multinational companies such as Philips, McKinsey and ASML and research institutes such as ESA and CERN.
