Results are published

After consulting with participating institutes of higher education, VSNU (University Association) and Vereniging Hogescholen (Higher Education Council), Studiekeuze123 have decided to postpone the publication of the results of the 2018 National Student Survey (Nationale Studenten Enquête) by a month. The results are published on 28 June. The extra time was needed to assess the consequences of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). When the GDPR becomes enforceable, stricter regulation will apply to the processing of personal data and questions of indirect identification.

Under the terms of the GDPR, Studiekeuze123 cites “consent” as the grounds for processing and forwarding directly and indirectly identifying NSE results. This is why the NSE questionnaire has been supplemented with a question regarding consent (refer to question 1 of the NSE questionnaire), which allows students to participate anonymously. For students with disabilities, an additional consent question has been included in the NSE questionnaire (refer to question 34 of the NSE questionnaire). Out of all NSE respondents, 30% have indicated they wanted to participate anonymously.

You can have a look at the NSE results for your programme at www.studiekeuze123.nl from 28 June!
