International Human Rights and Criminal Justice
This LLM gives students an in-depth understanding of these complex and controversial areas of law and allows students to explore human rights from a legal, policy and political perspective.
Attracting students from all over the world, students have the opportunity to combine course work with more practical trainings through externships or the clinical programme. The opportunity for students to integrate what they learn in the classroom with different forms of practical knowledge is an important part of the LLM.
The LLM is a one-year programme of full-time study, culminating with a final thesis. Students choose one of two study tracks: International Law of Human Rights or Internationalisation of Crime and Criminal Justice. Under the guidance of top academics and expert practitioners, the Programme aims to enhance research, writing and analytical skills in order to best prepare students for a later career.
